We had the whole YSA doing the Boot Scootin Boogie at the UofU Institute. I love the energy when they get up and dance.

YSA Summit 2010

We had a great time as one of the opening acts for the YSA Summit at the University of Utah 2010. It is always a good time when you get the crowd dancing.
The Jon Bergoine band was fun and Alex Boye was a great entertainer to top off the night.
Thanks to the YSA committee and all the Young Single Adults for having the Old Married Men in the spotlight again.

Ribeye Cookout at the First Park Building

It was fun to play at the new work facility called the First Park Buidling in West Valley City, Utah. We ate ribeye and baked potatoes, danced and even performed a few of our original songs.

One of the highlights for me was to see David McClintock doing Keraoke to "Springtime in the Rockies" and to follow with my Son Chad performing his original song "Perfect Love Song" to his bride Jamie.

All in all it was a good night. I personally thought that the band never sounded so good.

Ibapah July 11, 2009

What a great expereince every time we play at Ibapah, Utah. A great time was had by all. We started the dance at 8:30 p.m. and finished playing at 4:30 a.m. We always break for lunch at about 1:30 or 2:00 and then get right back into it. The people there are always so appreciative and they love to dance and have a fun time. Even the little ones get to join in on the fun. It's GREAT!!

Wedding at Wheeler Farm

We had a great time at the Bateman wedding at wheeler park on Friday night. Gary celebrated his birthday by buying a new black hat which went well with his singing. Natalie came all the way down from Rupert Idaho to fiddle for us. It was fun to have her back again. It takes the tension of performing off of me.

The Barn at Wheeler Farm was a fantasic venue and the Ibapah crowd knows how to dance and throw a party. We are looking forward to performing for them in July.

I'm glad to see that Neal has gone to the effort of recording the many wonderful, crazy, and sometimes wierd experiences that the band has had. I am also glad that the band image has changed from the good ole' days. I just thought this picture should be a part of the collection. If I had to guess I would say that Calvin and Natalie are the only two in this picture that still play in the band. With us living in Idaho we don't even make it down too often. We enjoy doing gigs with the band and hope to attend more of the dances now that fuel prices have come down a bit.

"We got a pig in the ground, and all my roudy friends are coming over tonight"

Dennis is so good that he can play the drums in his sleep.

Ibapah - Deep Creek Reunion

We had a great time at Ibapah Utah on Saturday.
This place has been one of our great adventures. The people of the town start dancing at sundown and they don't stop until morning light. (we gave up at 4:30am.)
By the way, you can't get there from here!
